Description
(syn. obtusiloba)
The lobes of the leaves are much more rounded in this species than in triloba and japonica and the flowers appear to be a different shape. These are most usually in shades of pale to rich mid-blue though white and pale pink variants are also known.
This N.American species has a reputation for b eing miffy, but in fact many of the stocks sold in the past have been wild collected plants, which have been badly handled and which then fail to establish. The stock offered is grown from divisions of a long established, European grown horticultural stock.
