Description
A stunning flower form of six to eight conical outer petals of mid violet- purple inside which sits a disc-shaped whorl made up of ring upon ring of anthers that have been changed into narrow petals. These are paler at the centre, darker at the apex. The overall effect is of an Elizabethan collar or “ruff” in a lovely shade.
A vigorous plant here in past seasons and one that is very deserving of culture. Please note that like most double and semi-double forms, once disturbed or divided these plants will not display their full, symmetrical flowers in the first season after repotting.
