Description
This has good-sized flowers of the Karako type, in a lovely shade of mineral-violet, each composed of a whorl of broad, overlapping outer petals which are quite sharply separated from the densely doubled, frilled and curled inner whorl.
This inner whorl itself is also composed of folded and frilled, quite broad petals each of which has a faint, paler central stripe. In the very centre of the flower is a small, tertiary tuft of deep purple, petalloid anthers with deep green bases, which add a remarkable little garnish to the beauty of this flower.
