Description
A little-known species from China and Korea, which is also in cultivation in Japan.
This is noted for its leaves, which are tri-lobed but scallop-edged and noticeably furry with additional long silvery hairs set over a plum-purple background. A little like a giant version of henryi leaves. The flowers are mostly white with a pink exterior, this is most noticeable in the bud, but we have also found plants which have pale pink and rarely pastel blue forms in our stock.
A very worthy new addition to the range of garden species, of promising size and vigour and bringing a range of variation currently unknown in our gardens. These are established, European propagated established divisions, not Chinese imports.
