Description
(syn. lingulata ciliolata)
Strap-like hairy-edged leaves below compact spikes of medium sized soft china blue flowers, in autumn.
A North African plant, by repute possibly tender, although it is fully hardy here and grows outside very well. It is however superb in a pot under glass for autumn blooming.
MK.2984 was collected originally by Manfred Koenen in N.W. Tunisia, near the Mediterranean Coast and close to the Algerian border in 1984. It has remained in continuous cultivation ever since, which actually speaks volumes about any suggestion of it perhaps being tender.
