Description
Sharply “pointed” white-cream flowers intricately marked all over with near-black veining over the creamy falls and a very small strongly contrasted black signal spot towards the base of each fall. The standards are beautifully contrasted with a cream background intensely veined with well-contrasted purple-brown. The veining is especially strong in the centre of each standard.
Iris lineolata Martakert is a large-flowered, dwarfed form raised from a stock traceable to the village of the same name in the landlocked and disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region of the South Caucasus.
