Description
Seldom more than 15 cm tall, this has short leaves in tidy fans, below solitary flowers. These are of classic miniature (bearded) Iris shape, each some 5-6 cm across. Ours have yellow standards, sulphur-suffused falls with a touch of brown veining and a prominent creamy beard, borne from April to June.
Garden, full sun, or under glass for an early display. Hardy here and increases gently at the front of a sunny, raised bed.
Our stock is the seed progeny of two hand-pollinated clones, originally found in Central Turkey between Ladik and Suluova.
