Description
Narrow, silver-edged leaves are scattered up a slender and graceful 40 cm stem crowned by 1-4 superb, reflexed turkscap flowers. These are always described as ‘tangerine’, and there is nothing more accurate to evoke the intense orange shade.
One of the easier Chinese species and a delight in any garden where it can be given light shade and humus-rich soil. This is not Dutch nursery stock, instead this is new vigorous and virus-free, material propagated from an import made from China some years ago. There it is widely grown as a foodstuff.
