Description

Lilium henryi is a robust and easily grown Lily for the garden with glossy green leaves crowded up a stem that nods slightly under the weight of the large tangerine-peel coloured blooms in summer.

These have reflexing petals and although unscented they make a tremendous, eye-catching display with established plants having stems from 145 cm to 200 cm tall and several flowers on each.

Originally native to mountains in central China, discovered and introduced by the Irish plantsman and explorer Augustine Henry in the 19th Century.
