Description
Tall spikes of pale primrose yellow flowers. The colouring is darker in the centre of the petals, lighter at the edges and is lightly marked, here and there, with tiny flecks of purple. On paper this may sound a little like monadelphum or szovitsianum, but the plant is totally distinct when seen in the flesh.
A rare and endangered species in its native Caucasus mountains, these are seed-raised, cultivated plants of this stunning species.
Well-drained but moisture retentive garden soil, enriched with humus in half shade is ideal.
