Description
The species was originally found on one mountain in what was then Burma, by Frank Kingdon-Ward. He introduced it to cultivation and it was named after his wife (née Macklin).
This is a new listing of a form raised from seed, in cultivation, which is on average twice the height of the typical plant, with large flowers of soft shell-pink on 70-80 cm tall stems, once established, in a well-drained but moisture retentive soil, enriched with plenty of humus in half shade.
