Description
This is a readily grown species which flowers very well once, like all Paeonia, it is given time to establish. It bears abundant 12 cm wide, pink-purple flowers, with purple filaments holding the anthers, throughout April. The sharply pointed glaucous leaves are glabrous on the underside, just as they should be.
This is the true species and not “mascula of commerce” or some mis-named hybrid! The parents were originally raised from Tbilissi Botanic Garden seed.
