Paeonia mlokosewitschii ex JJA.747.111

£55.00

NOT Flowering sized rhizomes. These are divisions, which I would call medium sized, needing 1-2 seasons to flower. They are priced accordingly.

Description

The wonderful, but very restricted, Georgian endemic species, now very rare in the wild, but more in danger from wild hybridisation than from man.

Lovely large, pale lemon-yellow bowls with a large central boss of stamens in deep gold all held on 60cm stems over rounded, grey-green foliage. There is just no other species that is like it.

Easy but very slow to make good size. These have taken several years of patient cultivation and this will never be a cheap item.

Raised from Jim Archibald seed – JJA.747.111.
