Description

This is material first found in deciduous woods in Serbia, in 1986. It has been nursery grown and propagated since then.

This is a smaller-growing clone of this highly variable species and is one which clumps well, forming compact clusters of 40 cm stems, clothed in tight leaf whorls. Each of the nodes bears small, clustered, intricately coloured, faintly red-spotted, white and green flowers.

In September the leaves turn gold revealing bright red autumnal berries that you had not noticed were there when they were green!
