Description
Aragats Gem is propagated from populations originating on Mount Aragats in Armenia. It is a strain rather than a clone however. This has larger and more abundant flowers held more compactly but in a longer spike.
All in all it is bigger and better-filled. The flowers have more strongly contrasted stripes on their petals, verging almost towards violet and it multiplies well, from larger, longer bulbs.
A great horticultural improvement, as easily grown as the more widespread Dutch form.
