Description
syn. forma
An apparently new and previously undescribed form of what is thought to be Resnova pilosa. It has one to three (usually two) leaves that are striking pale green with a dense and fine pubescence like soft velvet, over the entire leaf surface.
The flowers are borne in spikes and are small hanging bells of lavender with a white stripe. These are borne spaced out along a long, slender spike. The leaves vary from a gorgeous furry uniform jade-green to some which have a brown or reddish bloom or spotting on the underside as well.
This does not tally precisely with any known species and has been found in just a few localities near Barberton and Moolman in Mpumalanga, South Africa. The plants on offer are nursery stock traceable to the Piet Retief district of Mpumalanga. Culture seems to be easy as for Resnova megaphylla.
