Description
A lovely strong clone, selected in the Netherlands, with broad, richly coloured, deep purple-violet flowers borne on 30-35 cm stems. Each flower (there is one per stem) can reach 4 cm both across and high.
Grows well in most garden situations and is notable in having very “fleshy” roots though it is rightly esteemed for its deep colouring and lovely wide lip.
A vigorous plant which grows and flowers well. Awarded in 1998 by the KAVB ( Royal Dutch Bulb Growers ) and the best form we have seen.
