Description
Normal ‘white’ beesiana of the trade, is not in fact at all white, it is a seed-raised, pale yellow strain in which the purple flecking is reduced, but not missing.
Monique is a beesiana in which all of the yellow pigment has truly been lost. The flowers are therefore paper-white, except that the purple pigments are retained, so that it is striped and spickled with the very pure purple that results from the lack of a yellow underlay.
Named after the raiser’s wife, and a superb plant that he has reserved the highest accolade for.
