Description
A lovely true strain which is seed-propagated from the original collection, made by a German botanist some years ago.
The flowers are large and well proportioned and of a good yellow with a broad lip. The flowers are held on sturdy growths.
This stock is true material, with no hybrid genes in it, raised from the original collection made in China, Yunnan on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. This mountain, close to Lijiang, is home to the northern hemisphere’s southernmost glacier and as the seed came from 3,300 m we think the term for this plant is “most undeniably hardy” !
