Description
(Othocallis)
Good-sized, blue stars tinged violet have petals which do not reflex back as in many species. This delights every year, by flowering really early and if you keep it under glass (it doesn’t need this coddling by the way, it is just for earlier flowers) so flowering can be as early as January. In the garden, in a well-drained, sunny spot in a gritty loam,. this has proven fully hardy and flowering in late February or early March can be expected.
Raised from material traceable to the mountains of western Syria.
