Description
Forrest discovered this at very high altitude in Western China some 90 years ago.
The slender stem is only some 15 cm tall and both it, and the leaves that it bears, are covered in fine white hairs. The flowers are borne in a raceme about 6 cm long and each little bloom is about 8 mm long, white (from pink buds) and very sweetly scented. The overall effect of a scented, fluffy flower mass is very attractive.
Likes a moist leafy soil in light shade, fully cold hardy but good for pot growth.
