Description
One of the less well known species from the Cascade mountains of Washington and Oregon.
Low branched stems, to about 30-40 cm high, carry slightly angular, Disporum-like leaves and tiny lemon-tinged, cream bells which in turn are replaced with attractive hanging bright red fruits which look like gaudy earrings.
Ideal as a specimen in a peat or shade garden or in the open garden as it forms a tight tuft but does not stray.
