Description
Downy ridged leaves, like miniature Solomon’s seals are borne on zigzag stems, with small, deep red-pink flowers in each of the upper leaf axils. The petals of these are flecked and chequered almost in the manner of Fritillaria meleagris, though this is all in miniature. A very decorative and attractive plant, sadly very little seen but easily grown in a humus rich soil in light shade for preference.
If you like Polygonatum then do try this, as it is, in effect, a pink version. Hardy. Northern North America. Humus rich site in half shade, such as would suit other light woodland species.
