Stems 20-35 cm tall with up to six bright red-orange, tubular 3 cm flowers hanging on stalks. Leaves 3-4 cm wide narrowed at the base into a petiole and at the tip. Pollen yellow on long exserted stamens, style orange.
Some regard this gorgeous plant species as Stenomesson.
