Description
(syn. Oaksiella, Oakesia).
Stems of 15-20 cm, rarely more often less, carry non-perfoliate leaves which are glaucous below, and small pale lemon to yellow-green flowers in May, and stemless capsule follow in the autumn. The rhizome is short and it does run around within a small area, although I have yet to see any garden where it could be called invasive, as the clumps are non-persistent.
The smallest of the species but easy and charming, excellent for the peat garden.
