Description
(syn. Galanthus Oliver Wyatt)
This is a large, robust and vigorous elwesii hybrid (or selection) with very attractive, broad, glaucous, blue-grey leaves.
Above these is borne a comparatively short stem, bearing a large, wide-petalled and elongated flower of very good substance, early in February. The inners segments are marked with a large, well-shaped, deep-green X mark which is characteristically darker and denser at the apex, whilst the continuation of the mark, towards the base of the flower, is slightly more diffuse and less dense.
A good, long-lasting and persistent plant. An old O. E. P. Wyatt hybrid still going strong after many years.
