Description
The 4cm falls are small compared to the standards, but of delicious purple with a dense beard of black-purple. The standards are large, to 10 cm. They are normally white in this species, veined all over with purple, however in this clone they are distinctly violet throughout and wide too. They are only a little lighter than the deep, velvety purple falls. The falls themselves differ in this clone and are longer and narrower than all of our other clones. The whole plant is still only 10-20 cm tall.
Well-drained sunny spot, dry in summer.
This is raised from plants traceable to the countryside around Vahagni Village in Yeravan, Armenia about half way between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea.
