Description
A brilliant new introduction of a very little-known and rare Regelia section species. This has an ivory to pale or mid-violet ground colour over which is overlaid an intricate veining of much deeper purple. The colours are contrasted with a dark purple-violet signal patch and beard.
One of the loveliest of this whole section and its 20-60 cm tall stems with one or two, lightly fragrant, 6 cm flowers are a sight to stun you – though to see it in the wild you might have to travel to the northern Afghanistan border region where being stunned might be the least of your worries!
Full sun with very sharp drainage and a dry summer rest. It is worth feeding this species, especially if you are confining it to a pot as it is capable of making good growth in its short growing period.
