Description
One of the largest-leaved of the eastern USA species; its superbly silvered and marbled leaves can be 15 cm long. In shape these are rounded and reminiscent of Ϲyclamen purpurascens. Unlike the Ϲyclamen, they are held through the summer.
This is grown mainly for its highly patterned, aniseed-fragrant leaves, however its flowers are not without note in spring, when clustered, darkly-marbled urns jostle for space in the centre, sometimes 50-100 in a space 15 cm square.
Humus-rich soil in light shade.
