Description
Recent studies have established that Crocus gargaricus, true and proper, grows only on Kaz Dag in Turkey and it is not (2025) thought to currently be in cultivation.
The plant long regarded as being true gargaricus until 2024, and grown in cultivation under the number JJA.344.990, is in fact another, newly described species, Crocus cigdemiae. We now offer this under its new name.
We do not as yet grow the newly defined gargaricus and there is no waitlist available for it.
