Description

Large, widely opening flowers of soft lavender, with a central froth of white anthers and much divided orange stigmas.

This is the only autumnal Crocus that does not close its flowers in poor light or cold weather, they stay open regardless!

Best in a pot, as are most autumn Crocus, as they don’t get bashed and battered by the autumn weather and this is particularly so with this one, which stays open all the time. If grown outside then this likes a warm, sunny spot though with good drainage where we have found it to be cold hardy. Crete.
