Description
A lovely, raggle-taggle, double snowdrop in which the tips of the OUTER petals are marked and tipped with green as well as the inners.
The flowers are very irregular, no two being quite the same, but the mass of green-tipped petals in each bloom makes this very characteristic.
First found on the banks of the Thames near Pusey in Oxfordshire (thus the name is “Pusey” and NOT “Pewsey”, which is in Wiltshire) and preserved in cultivation ever since, although it has become scarce of late.
