Description

The typical species is a magnificent dwarf Oncocyclus species. The falls reach 4cm, and are small compared to the standards, but of delicious pale purple with a dense beard of black-purple. The standards are large, to 10 cm, white densely dotted and veined blue, giving a totally dark appearance. Leaves sickle-shaped and tidy; indeed the whole plant is only 10-20 cm tall.

This selected form is raised from a plant, traceable to near the village of Meghri in Armenia, close to the Iranian border.

Well-drained sunny spot with a dry summer rest.
