Description
Although this is offered sporadically in the trade, it seems that the name itself is far more common than the true species which is scarce.
Slender 15-20 cm stems with a solitary pale yellow to white flower. This is marked with limpid methyl violet on the half of the falls, which have a small deep yellow signal, strongly lined with violet, yet topped by a white beard.
The growth habit makes this Juno species an ideal one for a pot under glass, where it is readily grown in a well drained loam. As yet we have not tried it outside but it is tolerant enough to be worth a shot.
Please be warned that this naturally makes small, slender and insubstantial bulbs! This is the nature of the species.
