Description
The pure white form of veitchii woodwardii (anomala ssp. veitchii ‘Alba’ if you prefer the most recent name shuffle) and a stunningly beautiful plant.
Sadly the white form does not come true from seed (of 100 seeds sown, just one gave a white plant with the other 99 all being pinks)! Instead these are vegetative, clonal, propagations of the original. The rootstocks are normally very thick and compact; so it isn’t easy to make divisions. It’s a slow process, hence the price.
Highly enquired after this is barely in cultivation and offers of this plant in the trade are very, very rare. As far as we know, there are no others available in the world at present.
