Galanthus

Orders for our Galanthus are taken from January on, after we check and count our stocks when they are in flower.

Galanthus despatch begins in August.

Snowdrops move best during their summer dormancy, as long as they are kept damp (with one or two exceptions). We have had excellent results sending freshly-lifted, damp-packed bulbs over summer. This is being realised as the correct time to move them, as long as they are correctly stored and packed damp. Don’t believe old-fashioned nonsense about movement “In The Green” which simply damages their leaves, kills their roots and sets the bulbs back. A total lack of understanding around what actually constitutes “In The Green” further compounds what was already a very bad idea.

We only send from late July/August on. We do not, and will not, ever send “In The Green”.
