Description
A fabulous little plant restricted in the wild to just a small area of Portugal. Slender stems reach no more than 15 cm (in good light) and carry one to several tiny golden flowers with long tubes, broad petals and a broad shallow cup.
Despite being miniature the effect of this little gem is stunning and a pan or potful makes a fabulous display.
Loam-based compost or soil, good drainage and sunshine when in growth, dryish when dormant over summer. Good feeding will promote good sized bulbs
This was once a plant available by the thousand at cheap prices in local garden centres, however those bulbs were wild-collected. Ours are seed-raised, a 5 year process, hence their price.
